Eligibility Criteria and Requirements
Education
Candidates must possess a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
Salary
The basic pay starts at ₹19,900 per month, with variations depending on the bank. The overall pay scale may range up to ₹47,920 per month, including allowances.
Age Limit
Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as of 1 July 2025. Relaxation is applicable: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 years.
Application Fee
Will be notified in the detailed notification (expected similar to previous years: ₹850 for General/OBC and ₹175 for SC/ST/PwBD).
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of two stages –
- Online Preliminary Examination (100 marks, 60 minutes)
- Online Main Examination (200 marks, 160 minutes)
There is no interview; final selection will be based solely on the Mains score.

For Officers Scale II, and III RRB exam, the first phase includes a Preliminary exam that is conducted online and the second phase consists of the personal interview round. Having said that, the marking scheme for each one of these exams is different. For instance, the prelims exam for Officers Scale I is of 80 marks, and the mains exam is of 200 marks. For Officers Scale II, and III, the prelims exam is 200 marks each.
