Eligibility criteria and requirement
Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as on 1st October 2024. That is, candidates must have been born between 2nd October 1994 and 1st October 2003 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable: 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), 5 years for SC/ST, 10 years for PwBD, and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen, ECOs, and SSCOs with at least 5 years of military service.

Education
Applicants must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Final year/semester students may apply provisionally, provided they produce proof of graduation by 30th September 2025. Candidates with qualifications such as Engineering, Medicine, Chartered Accountancy, Cost Accountancy, or Integrated Dual Degrees are also eligible.

Salary
The starting basic pay is β‚Ή48,407 with four advance increments in the scale of β‚Ή48480–2000/7–62480–2340/2–67160–2680/7–85920. The total approximate CTC is β‚Ή20.43 lakh per annum, depending on posting and other factors.

The SBI PO exam is divided into three tiers – Prelims, Mains, and Group Discussion, and PI. Both the prelims and the main exams are conducted online wherein the candidate can choose the language of paper either in Hindi or English. Having said that, the prelims exam is 100 marks and the main exam is 200 marks. Group Discussion and Personal Interview carries 50 marks in total.

Prelims exam consist of three sections – English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The English Language section carries a maximum weightage of 30 marks, whereas the Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability consist of 35 marks each. Being said that, you get a total of 60 minutes to solve 100 marks prelims paper.

The Mains Exam consists of five different sections – Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis and Interpretation, General Awareness, English Language, and Descriptive Test. The Reasoning and Computer Aptitude and Data Analysis and Interpretation section consist of 60 marks each. On the other hand, General Awareness and English Language section consist of 40 marks each.
